A worker was injured in a fall at a wastewater treatment plant in Lancaster County.
It happened Thursday afternoon at the Ephrata Water Treatment Plant on South Reading Road.
Police Chief Chris McKim said a construction crew was doing a refurbishing project when the worker fell through a piece of roof and into an empty storage tank.
The 30-year-old man fell at least 20 feet onto a concrete floor, McKim said.
"There were rescue crews and fire companies from all over Northern Lancaster County and we're very grateful for their help and certainly our hearts and prayers go out to the man's family, loved ones, and himself," McKim said.
The worker was taken to Lancaster General Hospital for treatment. There's no word on his condition.
McKim says the investigation is ongoing.
