Wastewater Treatment Plant receives permits to work seen in May report

CHILLICOTHE— The warm weather means more construction work all around the area according to the May permit report which 79 requests last month. These permits were given to businesses, government agencies and individuals to make improvements.

The Chillicothe Wastewater Treatment Plant received eight permits last month for various work across the facility including a headworks building addition, a blower building renovation, a new digester train in A building, approval for rough framing, rough mechanical, and rough electrical for a renovation of a digester train in B building, approval for rough framing, rough mechanical and rouch electrical for a renovation of the process and control building, conditional approval for a lab building and approval for foundation and structural concrete for a new biosolids dewatering building. The report states that all five projects will cost a total of $61,940,000.

Several permits were also issued outside of Chillicothe including one for the Village of Piketon to provide electrical service to the park for a stage. Finally, the Paint Valey Local School District received a permit for the demolition of the football locker room in Bainbridge.
